Dating Rules Part II

This is Part II of my Dating Rules blog. If you missed the first one, scan through my blog and look for Dating Rules Part I. Part II is going to cover some signs that we all, not just women, should look for when dating.


We all like to make the comment “She/he just all of a sudden became crazy. I don’t know what happened!!” bzzzz WRONG!! They were already crazy!! You just didn’t bother to look past the cute face, skinny waist, nice lips, big ass, or swag. Don’t blame it on anyone else…..please!

Anyway, I have come up with a list of things that you (everybody) should look for….traits that someone may have that should make you want to RUN!!

•If he/she has a habit like smoking or drinking that makes him belligerent, RUN!

Not only are these crazy habits to have but they can make a person be someone that they normally are not. Drugs and alcohol are what I call “attitude enhancers”. If you have an attitude or catch an attitude while on the “attitude enhancers”, it will be worse than any normal attitude. Nine times out of ten he or she will become violent or belligerent and the outcome does not look pretty.

•If he/she never completely answers a question, you will always haves this problem….he’s playing games.

This is becoming an epidemic!! ***NEWS FLASH*** YOU ARE NOT KEEPING IT 100 IF YOU ARE NOT TELLING THE WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH!! Just answering the question and not elaborating means that you are hiding something. YOU ARE NOT BEING “REAL” IF YOU DON’T TELL THE WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH!! If you tell the entire story from the beginning, you can avoid all the problems and heartache later on. •If he tells you off top that he’s not looking for a girlfriend, regardless of the reason, don’t try and change his mind.

He wants to remain single! Nothing will make him change his mind until he is truly ready. Please don’t think that by being patient and waiting that it will make him come around because he already told you from the beginning. He didn’t lie to you…he didn’t tell you that he wanted a relationship. Stop thinking that YOUR twat is so much better than mine or anybody else’s.

•If he has a girlfriend, Don’t believe that line “I must not be happy if I’m trying to get with you.”

First, don’t mess with anyone with a girlfriend or boyfriend especially if you want the situation to end in your favor. If he “decides” to leave her for you, he will do the same thing TO YOU! Again, don’t think that you are soooo special that any man will just up and leave where he has been laying his head and that you will not see him make that same move on you. Any man that can’t be single or hops from one bed to the next without a break is not ready for a real relationship….he just wants somewhere to lay his head.

•If he has a child that is less than two years old, RUN!

This is a trap!!! He and his child’s mother are either still dealing with each other or they haven’t worked thru all the kinks of their relationship so they still have drama. Please….please do not try to enter into a relationship with a person who has a young child and you are a SUPER jealous person. Someone will either be dead or hurt because it will not be pretty! There are too many men and women in this WORLD who don’t have drama and/or young kids…..find one of them. Situations tend to get pretty ugly when there are kids involved so save yourself the money, time and tears.

•If his sneakers or shoes are dirty, RUN!

If he doesn’t take care of the things that he wears, he doesn’t really care about his appearance. The first impression can make or break a situation and/or relationship. This is why it is important to always try to put your best foot forward at all times because you don’t where or when you will meet someone special.

These are only a few things to look out for when you decide to start looking for someone to date. Don’t continue to be a victim of these men and women who bring nothing but drama into your life!

Should I continue???

I have really been thinking about whether or not I should continue posting on my Blogger account and/or shutting it down. It has become sort of a hassle to post on my WordPress.com blog and to post on here as well. Most of the posts are the same and that's really not fair....at least I don't think so.

So this week, I will either try to post more on this account or just totally close the account.

For the past few days I have been doing research on Affiliate programs and ways to make an income from just doing the things that I like to do. I have done the E Bay thing, I am a Passion Parties independent consultant, and I sell Avon.

Selling on E Bay is easy but if you don’t have constant movement and products to sell, you won’t see a definite return. Its all about finding what is selling on these different auction websites and E Bay has gotten so good that they tell you which products are selling good on the site. Great tool!!

OMG!! I LOVE being a Passion Parties consultant (http://lohnniecakes.yourpassionconsultant.com btw lol) because I get to talkabout something that I absolutely LOVE!! SEX!! Who wouldn’t want to talk about sex? Who wouldn’t want to have a career where all they do it talk abut sex? Who wouldn’t want to do something that constantly educated them about SEX? I’m not sure about you….but I could probably do this for the rest of my life if the economy would pick back up. Either way, I think that its not a hard business to conquer, it just takes a lot of persistence and work. There are many woman within this company who make a living doing this and (make a very nice living might I add) do very well. Hopefully, once I move this hustle will pick up.

Avon (has been my way to learn a little more about makeup. I wasn’t a real girly, girl until I met this chick that pretty much changed how I dressed, looked and even my self-esteem. Just hanging out with her made it possible for me to see what I was doing wrong and make me want to do better. BUT by this time, I was already 25 or 26 years old!! I missed out on all the makeup lessons. How to apply eye shadow and how to make sure I chose the right colors. And even though she tried at some points, I just couldn’t get it so, I started selling Mary Kay first (too much of a time consuming thing) and then moved to Avon. The products are inexpensive! More colors, product range and more products geared towards convenience!! What more could I ask for?!? Although my eye shadow game isn’t where I would like it to be….I still know what works for me and how to look good when I hit the streets.

So all of this takes me to me wanting to continue on my path to stay home and affiliate market, video blog, make money from blogging and do me!! I definitely need help on my journey….any takers on being a mentor? lol

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

I know that I am CRAZY late but today was very busy for me and I really didn't even do anything pertaining to Valentine's day lol. With all the Valentine's day promoting that I did, I know that you would think that I have a mate or someone special in my life.....think again lol. Valentine's day has always been a crazy day for me and so again, today was no different. I received many requests to be someones valentine but nothing that I know for myself to be absolutely real or to be taken seriously.


So I have been doing a lot of web surfing, researching and thinking about my next step in this process. What process am I talking about? The process of getting my blog seen and maybe doing some video blogging in future.

R.I.P. Whitney Houston at age 48

Yesterday, February 11, 2012, the world lost another star. Whitney Houston, age 48, passed away from unknown causes.

Ms. Houston was scheduled to perform for the Pre-Grammy awards show; however, prior to her appearance she was found dead in her hotel room bathroom. It has been speculated that she had taken some medication prior to getting in the tub and may have drowned.

Houston started her singing career at New Hope Baptist Church in the junior choir and was developed into a soloist at the age of 11. In her mid-teens, she started singing backup for artists like Chaka Kahn and Lou Rawls. In 1984, she sang a duet with Teddy Pendergrass "Hold Me". Clive Davis signed Houston to Arista Records and by 1985 her singing career was on its way.

In the span of 27 years, Whitney Houston became an international superstar in both the music and motion picture world. She had amassed global album sales of over 120 million copies alone, and a film box office total of over a half billion dollars. She was received many international awards and accolades for her works.

Whitney Houston leaves behind her 18 year old daughter, Bobbi Kristina.

R.I.P. Don Cornelius at 75

Don Cornelius, the creator and legendary African American passed away at age 75.

According to reports, police were called to Cornelius’s home after gunshots were heard. The police found Cornelius with a gunshot wound to the head that appeared to be self-inflicted, according to the Los Angeles County coroner.

The first episode of Soul Train aired on August 17, 1970 and by the following year it was being aired on more than one network. It definitely proved to be what the African American culture needed. Soul Train became the longest-running national syndicated show in history. The show aired from 1971 to 2006 and Cornelius hosted until 1993 when he decided to step down.

Valentine's Day Love

What better way to show someone that you love them than to go above and beyond the normal one day of Valentine's Day? The 14 Days of Valentine would be a perfect way to do just that!

What type of gifts do you give? Well, you definitely want to give put some thought into it and chose things that would be sentimental to your mate. Cards, flowers, a weekend trip, a couples massage, anything you can do to show your love.

I found a website (http://holidays.lovingyou.com/calendar.php) that has a calendar with everyday planned out for their loved one. It doesn't have to be expensive but the point of your 14 day plight of love is to show your mate that you are in love. Sometimes the simplest things are the best ideas to show you care.

More positive thinking for your life!!!

Okay, so I'm still slacking but I'm getting better lol.....at least it hasn't been like 6 months between posts. I'm so bad!!!! So my last blog was about positive thinking and believing in the power of The Law of Attraction. 

Everyday I get an email from a daily blog called "The Daily Love". The blog is by Mastin Kipp and he is truly wonderful!! The blog gives me a lot of daily encouragement and helps me with the quotes, insight and daily affirmations. He is awesome!!! He's on Twitter, Facebook and all that....check him out!!

Anyway, yesterday he sent out an email for his blog called, "Here's Why You're Not Getting What You Want". It instantly caught my attention! We all go through times when we feel like we aren't getting what we want and we sit and wonder why. Some of us more than others..... So, one of his quotes of the day was:

"Cherish your visions. Cherish your ideals. Cherish the music that stirs in your heart, the beauty that forms in your mind, the loveliness that drapes your purest thoughts, for out of them will grow all delightful conditions, all heavenly environment; of these, if you but remain true to them, your world will at last be built." - James Allen

A quote with major encouragement and a reason to remain positive and push forward with your goals and visions. If our behavior, attitudes and actions do not reflect what we really want, it will never come. We must be truly mindful of everything that we do....we must know that before we DO something, we think about it first. We think about it, make a decision, make sure its truly what we want to do, and sometimes we have to discuss it with a friend to make sure that we are making a clear, unrushed decision.

So, if you aren't getting what you really want....maybe you should look at your desires, your actions. Where is the disconnect between what you really want and your desires and actions? How can you adjust your actions to sync up with your desires? What is your plan? Write it down so that it is visual and make sure that its the first thing that you see every day. Get your behavior, attitude, desires and actions in line.....everything else will follow.

The Secret

OMG So yesterday was a very long day and it drained me!! So I didn't get to post yesterday because of my running around but I might be able to post more than once today depending on what I end up doing.

I noticed where my friend posted a quote on Google+ a few days ago and it stuck with me.


"Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behaviors. Keep your behaviors positive because your behaviors become your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny."


I always try to remain positive because its a powerful thing!! Having the right mindset will take you places and keep you there. I love watching The Secret when I feel like I need some positive energy. And honestly, when I first got it, I watched it everyday! Needing that extra boost to take me to a place where I knew that wherever my thoughts remained focused on, energy flowed. The film was made by Rhonda Byrne, with the hope to share what she had learned about "The Secret" and find others that shared the same intention. Her website (http://www.thesecret.tv/index.html) offers sooooo much information about the Secret and shares stories from people who have changed their thoughts, words, behaviors and habits. In doing this, they have changed their lives.

The Secret essentially is The Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction is the metaphysical belief that like attracts like. So in turn, if you think, behave and express positivity, positive energy will surround you. According to the Law of Attraction, if you say "I need more money" this statement allows you to continue to "need more money". If you want to change this, you would need to focus your thoughts on the goal (having more money) rather than the problem (needing more money). This might take the form of phrases such as "I have more money now" or "I have more money than I need." It seems so simple but most of us have conditioned ourselves to "need more money" rather than "I have more money".


One of the phrases that stick with me after watching The Secret. One of the Financial Advisers that spoke of their experiences and knowledge said that you have to change your mindset about money. Repeat to yourself, "Money comes easily and frequently." It can be hard because you will have conflicting emotions about that statement, but if you change how you think about that statement, change how you feel about it and really come to believe it.....wealth will be within your reach.


I will leave you with this statement that I got from TheSecret.tv......"Wealth is a mindset. Money is literally attracted to you or repelled from you. It's all about how you think."

Sooooo......I always do this!! I say that I'm going to do better and then I neglect my post!! Shame on Lohnnie Cakes!!! I have been so busy and just all over the place that I haven't had the time to just sit down and "play" on the internet. Hopefully, that will change today and I will make it my business to post at least once a day!!


Anyway, yesterday was a crazy day for me and it prompted me to start posting on my FB page about Cheaters!!! What other way to get some things off your chest than to talk about what aggravates you the most!

1. Lesson One: Stop believing that you will NEVER get caught!!

• Lesson 1.1 Recognize that just because you and your girl/wife live in New York and your boo thang lives in Florida, you will STILL get caught. The place does not matter!! If you are not a habitual liar, this plan WILL NOT work. At some point, someone will find the inconsistencies in your tall tales and start investigating.
• Lesson 1.2 The only way to NOT get caught, is to be honest from the beginning!! No expectations. No sneaking. No lies. If you know that you need more than one lady/man in your life, be honest! Some people are naturally unable to be in a monogamous relationship. You will find someone out there that will still love you for you....trust me, look at Emily and Fab!
• Lesson 1.3 Don't be in denial!! Once you have been caught, just admit it!! If you continue to lie, you will only make things worse. Your mate will dig deeper and trust me....it will only get worse. You are not a "MacDaddy" or a "DaddyMac" so relieve yourself of the burden of weaving more lies. 
• Lesson 1.4 If you are determined to cheat and you feel like you will not get caught, play your cards right. Don't over do it and start making the lies sound like Keith Sweat when he begs. "Baby, please lets just let it go. You know I love you and only you. She could never be you." You have really just hit rock bottom!! Your mate will start investigating and the phone bill will be the first thing that she checks. Get a Straight Talk phone from Walmart for goodness sake!!!
• Lesson 1.5 Don't tell your mate that the other person is your cousin or brother/sister. Don't tell your boo thang that your mate is your baby mother or baby daddy and that you agreed to separate as friends. You are creating bad blood and its going to end very badly for you.
